The documentary, A Remix Manifesto, stated that Disney was
one of the leading corporations that want heavier copyright enforcement. When you
take a deeper to into what falls under Disney, you may say that they are justified
in taking this stance. Disney does not only own the productions of Disney
entertainment they also own shares in many other companies. Disney owns 80
percent of ESPN, a fact that many people don’t know. They also own shares in
Hulu, ABC, and Marvel. These are just some of the companies that are owned by
Disney. Disney has a lot of products that they can make a profit off of. So of course
they would be all for a heavy copyright enforcement. Their products are very
popular and many people want to use them for personal reason. But all of this
takes money out of their pockets and it is something that they do not approve
of.
