Reddit can be seen a battlefield for ideas. Reddit is a
platform that gives each of its user a voice. With each user being given a
voice, you are bombarded with thousands of views and ideas on topics. Most user
will give their honest opinion on a topic because there is no real reward for
saying otherwise. Also because it is on the internet, users are given a mask to
hide behind, so there is little fear of retaliation because of their opinion. Because
of these ideas clash with each other and add to the knowledge of the topic at
hand. Reddit is a platform where many concepts or topics can be nurtured. It is
the responsibility of the users to help in this process.

I think that with that mask, some people tend to use the fact they're identity is hidden to do more good then harm. A good example of this is when someone is asking for help such as the suicide subreddit, and you get those guys who are just all "go ahead and do it you know you won't!" Those type of people take advantage of the mask they are given which is a huge draw back. Though I do agree that it is the responsibility of the people to not be that type of person and actually give meaningful help if they are going to say anything at all.
